This makes it a wonderful and romantic place to unwind, even during Christmas and/or New Year’s Eve. The property is new (2026). Included in the booking: High-quality beds, blankets made up upon arrival, bath towels and hand towels provided, bathrobes, 1 SUP, and 4 bicycles. The tiny house is cozy and thoughtfully furnished. The kitchen is equipped with: a stovetop, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher, as well as kitchen essentials (such as salt and pepper, etc.). Want to relax and get some work done in between? There’s a laptop-friendly workspace both inside and outside. The tiny house is equipped with window screens and air conditioning.

Nature and environment

This beautiful tiny house is located right on the Vinkeveense Plassen, 300 meters from the main road. It’s just south of Amsterdam, about a 15-minute drive away. It’s a unique area with sandbars and sandy islands where you can relax. Do whatever feels right for you at the moment—that’s the idea at Waar geluk ligt.” There’s plenty of flora and fauna; you’ll see many water birds such as red-crested pochards, grebes, coots, and white and black swans. The tiny house is very luxurious and features a large outdoor area with a view of the water!

At this unique item you can rent an aluminum flatboat. This boat is very easy to drive. You do not need a license for this.
Because the boat is located near the cottage you can always grab it for a trip on the Vinkeveense Plassen.

Share a bike  

Share a bike

Share bikes are now available for rent at several strategic locations in the municipality. Ideal for visitors who come by public transport and can thus cover the last part of their journey by bicycle. Alderman Anja Vijselaar (sustainable mobility) calls it a great step: "With so many commuters and tourists, this is a perfect complement to public transportation."

There will be a total of seven locations where the share bikes will be located. Most are already in use, such as at the carpool sites in Vinkeveen and Abcoude, the bus station in Mijdrecht and at Zandeiland 1. The last location, at Abcoude station, will follow after the renovation. There are four bicycles per location, and if successful, there will be more.

On Wednesday, the location near the N201 viaduct in Vinkeveen was officially opened. Entrepreneurs, alderman Vijselaar and contractor John Reuring made a first ride together. Mayor Maarten Divendal, an avid cyclist, was also there.

How does it work?

The bikes can be rented through the app of Deelfiets Netherlands. The starting rate is €0.50, after that it costs €0.35 per 15 minutes. A whole day of cycling? That is possible for €6,00. During the rental period, the bike can simply be locked.
